Revel in Exercise Trampolines in June

Small trampolines can be very entertaining as well as being useful to keep your children gripped and active for numerous hours. Some Trampolines aren’t simply manufactured for teenagers, as they can also be purchased by older men as an aerobic health work-out as well as a means for toning & building body muscles simultaneously Due to this a trampoline has oodles to provide yearly for the complete family and for this reason it is of no shock that trampolines are such a well-liked toy throughout the summer months.

The main thing to note down when getting a bouncy trampoline is to confirm it is proper for the age and ability of the person who will probably be using it, be it the toddlers’ or the older people. If you’re looking to find great offers on outdoor toys then there’s no better place to check out than http://www.toy-shopper.co.uk.

An extra thing to keep in mind is for sure going to be the position of the bouncy trampoline. Various trampolines today can consume up an extensive amount of outdoor space considering you will want about three feet of space around the outside of the trampoline in order for the kids to get off in one piece if they out of the blue fly off.

It is also useful to note that a number of trampolines bouncy trampolines will need to be installed on smooth land otherwise the stability and well-being of the bouncy trampoline can be greatly affected. Therefore, several trenches perhaps will need to be made in order for the bouncy trampoline to stand-up properly.

Realtor Directory Posting Tips

If you were to build the greatest web page in the world but did not link back and forth to any other webpage then no search engine would find you and therefore no web surfer would ever find you. The way to fix this is to make sure that every chance you get you go and put your website address inside a website so that it can be seen by a search engine and also eventually by a buyer or seller. If you have a lot of links from other sites to yours then the search engines trust your site more and move you higher in the rankings for your pages most prominent keywords. In the search engine optimization world these links are called backlinks. There are two kind of links, The links between two sites when I link to you and you link to me, this is called reciprocal links, and the other kind which is just when I link to you, this type of link is the most coveted and hard to get as the other site must like yours enough to link to it.

As I have started a realtor directory to give Realtors another place to list their websites and weblogs I thought it would be a good time to let people know more ways to add strength to the weight that search engines will give to your website. A directories main function to the Realtor is to give the Realtor another link on the internet to know about his or her website.

Now that you know why it is important to list yourself in directories the next step is to find them. Do a search at Google, Yahoo and MSN and get yourself listed in all of the Realtor directories you can find.

Here are some things to think about when listing yourself in Realtor Directories:

  • Use your site name with the first letter of each word capitalized, this will make your listing stand out against a sea of other listings.
  • Make sure that your description is not selling you but instead listing benefits of your site…remember that you will probably have to be brief so look at your site and pick out the highlights someone would see on your Realtor website.
  • Remember that the directory listing is like a small advertisement for your website not you, your entry in the Realtor directory is only to entice the reader to click on the link to let the website sell you as a Realtor that can be trusted.
  • Make the link that is being published, probably the title, be the term you want to rank well with in the search engines. eg: real estate, or Realtor.
  • Think carefully about what page that you want to have as the page people will get to, do you want it to be your home page?, a current listings page?, or a Realtor bio type page.
  • Finally proofread and make sure that there are no spelling mistakes in the Realtor directory entry.

If you have a site and are wondering why there are not more people finding it, or if you are not ranked very high on some of the search engines than I hope this little directory primer has been a good eye opener for you to get more exposure to your site or weblog.

Overcome Evil with Good

Posted in Religion

Overcome evil with good. A nice idea isn’t it? But what does it mean exactly? How do we apply this neat idea to our Christian walk?

The phrase comes from the 12th chapter of Paul’s letter to the Romans. It is found in verse 21, “Do not be overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good.” It can be said that the book of Romans is written in three parts. In the first Paul presents the gospel, this lasts through Chapter 8, from there through Chapter 11 he outlines God’s plan for the Jews and the Gentiles. In the last third of the epistle he lays out practical lessons for the members of the church in Rome. I t is one of these lesson’s we wish to explore now.

It is interesting that in Chapter 12 Paul was speaking of evil in the context of those who were being persecuted for their faith. Paul himself was persecuted and eventually sent to death by the Romans on account of his faith in Christ.

In a broader sense this verse does not just apply to those who would persecute us for our faith. It applies to any person or group that does not treat us well for whatever reason. May times over the years I have counseled very angry Christians who had been wronged by someone in some way. Their comments are always something along the lines of “Well I’ll show them! If they’re going to do that to be me they’ll be sorry I’ll…” This reaction is perfectly human. But it is not God’s way. The whole theme of Chapter 12 is that we should not return the evil done to us with evil. This would be vengeful. Vengeance is the province of God alone. What God expects of us is to return increasing amounts of goodness and charity toward those who wrong us until it reaches a point they can no longer mistreat us. In fact in the NEW LIVING TRANSLATION this same verse reads ” Don’t let evil get the best of you, but conquer evil by doing good.” God expects this of us not because it is easy, but because he knows it takes great effort on our part.

In his famous commentaries Mathew Henry has this to say “The line of our duty is clearly marked out, and if our enemies are not melted by persevering kindness, we are not to seek vengeance; they will be consumed by the fiery wrath of that God to whom vengeance belongeth.” I am particularly struck by Henry’s use of the term “persevering kindness. “We are not to react with kindness that can survive only kindness in return, but kindness that can repel the worst evil. What a spiritual weapon to have!”

When I’ve worked with people in this sort of situation what I’ve always told them is “its not about them, its about you, and the kind of person you want to be.”

The sooner you make “Overcome evil with good” a daily part of your Christian walk, the sooner you will be closer to God. Remember always vengeance belongs to God. Our weapon is the overflowing goodness that comes from our relationship with Christ. Build your sense of kindness at every opportunity, and wage war with it whenever evil strives to make you its own.

10 Online New Year’s Resolutions

Posted in Better Business

Happy New Year! New attitude? New habits? How about 10 Online New Year’s Resolutions?

For almost a decade now I have reviewed the issues that need to be addressed and update this article before the first of each year. 2005 brought many changes, unfortunately, when it comes to proper technology use, many still feel online is a free for all. Certainly that is not the case and is simply a misnomer to lend shelter to those who still do not want to make the effort to learn the online rules of the road. So, without further adieu, shall we begin?

As I am sure you can relate, almost every New Year’s resolution is based on improving attitudes and changing habits. From loosing weight to getting out of debt to trying to live a happier life, every one of us has or will have some sort of conversation with ourselves in regard to the New Year and changes we would like to make or better yet have the control to make. If we follow through on 5% of these resolutions; we are way ahead of the pack!

Below are the 2006 New Year’s Online Resolutions. Everyone can improve on their skills — if they are willing. Remember, perception is the only reality online! Perceptions are made about you based on how you choose to use technology - positive and negative alike.

For whatever reason, these issues in particular, are those that I notice are neglected by too many on a daily basis. Make a commitment to improve in these areas and you may find your online activities to be more enjoyable as well as more profitable and effective. It won’t hurt; rather it will only add to the positive impression you will make with those who communicate with you.

Many who may never have the pleasure of meeting you in person will only have your use of technology to form their opinions about who you are and what you would be like to get to know, do business with or form a relationship with. The perception of the type of person you are, as well as whether you are a fish out of water online, will certainly be apparent by the efforts you choose to make or neglect in these areas.

  1. I will not forward an e-mail unless it specifically applies to the person I am sending to. I will include a personal note to that person so they know why I am forwarding that particular e-mail their way. If I must send or forward the same e-mail to a group of contacts, I will do so only when I put their e-mail addresses in the BCC: field to protect their privacy (especially if they don’t know each other).

I will also set a good example by removing any visible e-mail addresses within the body of the forward from previous irresponsible forwarders who did not feel the need to protect their contact’s privacy.

  2. I will take the time to make sure that my sentences are complete, capitalized and include proper punctuation. Using proper sentence structure and taking the extra time to ensure that my intent and tone are clear, will do nothing but reflect positively on me. Making these efforts will go a long way to ensuring communicating with me is easy while having the added benefit of helping to avoid any misunderstandings.
  3. I will not send an unannounced large attachment of any kind, even the ones I think are very special photos of [insert here: RFQs, PDF files, sales flyer, Power Point presentation…], until I ask first when would be the best time to send it to the intended party. This way, I do not fill their e-mail box without notice causing all their other e-mail to bounce. The fact is I do not know what the other side’s e-mail activity is like to assume my attachment will not cause any unnecessary problems for them. Think of the other side, not just of what you want to do.

If I do not know how to determine an attachment’s size, I will learn how before I send it by e-mail! I will also have enough common sense to not send business attachments outside of business hours when someone may not be there to download the attachments and keep their inbox clear.

  4. Every e-mail I send will be courteous and include a proper greeting and closing which includes my name. Typed properly too! Names in small case or all caps reflect either a lack of education or tech savvy; neither of which is a good thing.

My extra effort in this area, when many feel these details are not necessary, will ensure I am viewed as someone who “gets it” and is a pleasure to communicate with. Nice greetings and closings avoid my e-mails coming off as demanding or terse and reflect that I understand common courtesies.

  5. I will not copy or use any text, graphics or content from another Web site or author without their explicit permission to do so. The online world, contrary to popular belief, is not a public domain environment! I will not use another author’s writings in whole or in part without them being aware of exactly what I am doing and where I will use their information. I will not post e-mails that were sent to me privately for any reason in a public forum without the original sender’s permission. These are all serious copyright and privacy issues that I need to be aware of, practice and respect.
  6. There is no place online for profanities, accusations or rudeness just because I am safely encroached behind my monitor. If I run into problems with another onliner in a chat room, message board or by e-mail who does not communicate with clarity and courtesy, I will simply cease communicating with them. If I need to respond, I will take the high road and not stoop to personal digs and innuendo. I will report ongoing abusive e-mails or threatening behavior to my ISP for proper handling.
  7. I will be very respectful about how I use my employer’s technology resources understanding they are paying the bills and I am on their time. I also understand that I should not assume any level of privacy while using company equipment, connectivity or e-mail resources. I will make a point of reviewing my employer’s policies so that I am familiar with them so I can avoid any future problems.
  8. I will refrain from formatting my e-mails with colored text, bolding and/or italics because I know it may not look as I intended when received on the other side. I also understand by making the extra effort to add emphasis with formatting, it may be taken the wrong way or even over-emphasized by the recipient. I will learn to relay my thoughts clearly with the written word rather than having to rely on formatting. I understand if I take the time to choose my words carefully and reflect on how I use them, formatting is not necessary.
  9. When I sign up for a Web site service, newsletter or am sending an inquiry, I will take the time to add that site’s e-mail address to my address book, white list or approved senders list so that the response can get through any spam blocking software my ISP, online service or that I may have in place to block spam. I understand that if I don’t make this effort, the response to my request or subscription may not make it to my inbox and I’ll have no one to blame but myself.
  10. I will make a point of understanding each online service or Web site I choose to use by reading their Frequently Asked Questions, Terms of Service and Help area. I understand that I need to eliminate my actions or lack thereof as a possible cause of a perceived problem before pointing fingers at others. I also need to be aware of how each site operates so that I may use their services and resources properly. If in fact something does appear amiss, I will e-mail with courtesy asking for assistance in resolving my difficulties rather than making blunt demands or accusations based on my assumptions alone.

There you have it! Your Ten 2006 New Years Online Resolutions to work on for the year ahead so that folks don’t cringe when they see your name in their inbox. Just imagine if every onliner made these efforts? Joy, joy! See you back here next year!

A Powerful Vocabulary Will Transform Your Life

Studies show that your word-power determines your earning power, that your skill in self-expression determines your status in life.

The link between your vocabulary and your income is universally recognized. Researchers have discovered that college students with the lowest vocabulary scores usually end up in the lowest income group. So, if you wish to maximize your earning power, it is clearly vital to develop a powerful vocabulary.

Similarly, advancement in your career depends to a large extent on your capacity to express yourself with clarity and precision. Even the most cursory examination of job advertisements shows that employers value employees who can demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.

Within most companies, the people with the greatest command of words generally occupy the most powerful positions.

It is clear then that the more words you understand and can use, the easier you will find it to impress the very people who have the power to fast-track your career.

A powerful vocabulary is a highly-prized asset both socially and in the business world. There are very good reasons for this. Words enable you to conceive and articulate complex thoughts and ideas. The person who can use the right words at the right time enjoys a powerful advantage in any situation.

The words of a salesman can secure a million dollar order. The words of a judge can imprison or set you free.

A powerful vocabulary can make you sound like a genius.

Every day we pass judgement on the intelligence, education, and status of complete strangers simply on the basis of hearing them utter a sentence or two. We accept or reject them on the evidence of the words they use.

Let us not forget that other people judge us in exactly the same way!

A limited vocabulary paralyses your powers of communication. It can even make you feel like a foreigner in your own country - hearing and reading things you cannot understand, struggling to express yourself while your more eloquent friends or colleagues are able to encapsulate every thought and idea with infuriating ease.

Remember that the more words you have, the more ideas you have. The more ideas you can express, the greater influence you will have on those around you. When you improve your vocabulary, you immediately supercharge your powers of expression.

Unfortunately, most people pick up words in a haphazard and serendipitous manner. As a result, their vocabulary is amorphous and demonstrably inadequate to their needs.

Everyday, they see and hear important words that they neither recognize nor understand; and, lost in a fog of confusion, they are at the mercy of word spinners, persuaders, and propagandists.

That’s why it’s so important for everyone to follow a progressive and structured vocabulary-building program.

what is spread betting ?

WHAT IS SPREAD BETTING AND HOW DOES IT WORK.??

Spread betting is a great way of betting, particularly for sports fans and bettors - no matter how unequal a sporting contest is you can still enjoy a bet - with the opportunity betting from the first minute right through to the very end.Not only can you bet right through any sporting event you can change your mind, and adjust your bets at any time !.

The best way to explain the principle is firstly to use whole number examples(many punters are baffled when they see fractions of goals or similar when first looking at spread betting - how can there be 2.3 goals?(we will explain later).

Lets choose cricket,or any sport where runs are made. The spread betting companies may decide that a batsman should make about 30 runs. They would therefore offer a spread of say 29 - 31.If you think that batsman would score more than that you would BUY,if you did not rate the batsman and thought he would score less you would SELL.(You would keep your stakes low in this market due to volatility.)

IN THIS EXAMPLE THE BATSMAN SCORES 51

If you BUY for $1 - you will win $20 (you bought at 31,result was 51 - the batsman scored 20 more runs than buy offer)
if you SELL for $1 - you will lose $22(you sold at 29,result was 51 - the batsman scored 22 runs more than sell offer)

The beauty of spread betting is the odds change all the time,so you can close a bet at any time and take your profit,or cut your losses,or alternatively sit back and watch your profits grow(or losses)right through till the end.

Now to look at fractions in spread betting - this can be,and can remain baffling to many players- lets look at a soccer match - TOTAL GOALS.- that is the number of goals in a football match.

The spread betting firms are offering total goals spread of 3.5 - 3.8 goals.Obviously you can not have 3.5 goals. What the odds imply is the estimate is between 3 and 4 goals, with a slight prefernce for 4 goals(the spread is closer to 4 than 3).Your stakes in this market will be higher as there is less volatility.

IN THIS EXAMPLE THE SCORE IS 2 - 0 - TOTAL GOALS = 2

If you BUY for $100 you will LOSE $180 (you bought at 3.8,result was 2 - the total goals were 1.8 less buy offer- $100 times 1.8 = $180)
if you SELL for $100 you will WIN $150(you sold at3.5,result was 2 - the total goals were 1.5 less than sell offer - $100 times 1.5 = $150.

The spread betting firms make their profits from the gaps between the buy and sell figures - if they get it spot on,they get a small profit from BOTH the buyers and seller.

Something to bear in mind when spread betting - human nature means most players have an inclination to BUY - they do that because there is no upper limit for profits, unlike selling, when you know your maximum win.Buyers are always hoping for that freak high scoring game for that elusive big hit.

Of course the spread betting companies know this and always pitch there spreads a little higher than they want them to be(they cannot go too high as the big hitters would step in and sell aggresively),so always approach a market with a view to SELL ,and only consider buying after selling has been discounted after careful thought.

As alway there is a particular warning for punters before they start spread betting - be very careful. It is an extremely volatile form of betting, and you should always be aware of your liabilities at all times, also play one market at a time and closing before opening another.

However spread betting is great fun with ingenious betting opportunities on offer - with such a vast range of bets try to find a niche where you can become experienced and knowledgable.with an edge over the market makers who have to cover thousands of different markets.

Double Down on Marketing

Posted in Better Business

If you want to compete in the world of high growth startups, you better know how to play the marketing game. Marketing has become a big stakes game where companies are betting fortunes on the success of their products. Nowadays if you can’t play the big marketing game you may not even get the attention of the customers you need to grow your business.

So how do you compete if you don’t have the cash to run with the big dogs? The answer lies in growing your marketing budget by doubling up on your marketing investments quickly. Chances are the capital you need to compete in this game is right under your nose, you just need to know where to look for it.

Make marketing an investment

The first step to growing your marketing budget is thinking about it differently. People used to think of their marketing budget as a line item expense that they wrote checks for throughout the year. It was almost like rent - a normal cost of doing business. The mistake these startups made was that they treated marketing like an expense. It’s time to start thinking of your marketing as an investment that you expect to yield a return.

Like any investment you would make in the stock market, your marketing investment should generate a specific monetary return in an expected period of time. For our purposes, we’re looking for short term investments that will produce enough working capital to re-invest quickly to grow our marketing.

Grow marketing, grow customers

We all know that marketing attracts the customers we need to generate more sales. For this reason, if we want to grow our position in the market we’re going to need to grow our marketing budget as fast as possible to grow our customer base. The key to growing the budget lies in generating cash flow from the returns on our marketing investment.

Short Term Returns

People used to take the long view of their marketing budgets - planning them a year out. This “set it and forget it” approach may work well for Ron Popeil, but smart marketers throw that line of thinking out the window. Instead, we budget our marketing based on months, or quarters at the longest. By looking for marketing opportunities that provide short term returns we create opportunities to increase our marketing budget rapidly with the additional capital we’ve generated.

The faster we can provide a return on our marketing the faster we can put that money to work in the next cycle. The faster we put that money to work, the more money we generate from additional customers. The math is straightforward, but getting there can be a little tricky.

Finding the winning hand

It would be easy if we already knew what marketing strategies returned quickly and could just double up our bets on those efforts. Unfortunately we don’t know what works until we try it, which costs money and time. Finding this winning hand to double down on can become a job unto itself.

A popular way to test different messages and reach your target population quickly is Internet advertising. Unlike TV, radio or print, Internet-based campaigns are relatively cheap and highly trackable. Use the Internet to test out different messages, advertise on different Web sites, and gather feedback quickly from customers about what works. You can then apply your findings toward riskier (and more expensive) media.

Your goal here is to find the campaigns that will give you the opportunity to invest significantly more dollars with a nice short term return. If it’s the right campaign, you will be able to spend incrementally more every month, constantly rolling last month’s proceeds into next month’s increased marketing budget.

Don’t shotgun

The last thing you want to do is try a “shotgun” approach toward marketing where you try everything at once and wait to see what happens. This can get very confusing because you often don’t know what’s working and what isn’t. Instead, focus on a few strategies at once, measure them completely, and then try a few more.

Double down

Once you’ve found some strategies that work now it’s time to put your money down. Invest heavily in those campaigns and keep plowing the returns back into the same winning hand. This is how you scale your marketing to create the types of campaigns that move markets and win customers.

Fast growth companies are always looking for ways to exponentially increase their marketing spend, but only on campaigns that have a demonstrated track record for success. Next time when you come to the table with the big boys, look for that winning hand, double down on your bet and clear out the competition!

Cisco CCNA Certification: How To Approach The Post-Cert Job Interview

Posted in Uncategorized

Okay, you did it! You earned your Cisco Certified Network Associate certification.

Now what?

People who pass the CCNA exam fall into one of three categories. You may be just entering the IT field you may be working on the LAN side and want to move to the WAN side (that’s where I was when I passed the CCNA), or you may already work on the WAN side of the network, and you want to move up the ladder.

One way or the other, you’re going to have to face the dreaded job interview. Some CCNAs do really well in interviews, and some don’t. I’ve been on both sides of that interview, and I have a few pointers for you to be one of those who do well and get that job.

Be confident, but not cocky. The CCNA is a great certfication to have it’s where we all start. Do not walk into the interview thinking you know everything because you have a CCNA. (I’m a CCIE and am the first to admit I certainly don’t know everything.)

Answer questions confidently if you don’t know the answer, that’s no sin. If you prepared for your CCNA the right way — getting hands-on experience and understanding tougher topics like binary math and NAT — you’ll be fine.

Do not stop studying the day you pass the exam. Knowledge that you don’t use quickly becomes forgotten. It’s okay to take a day or two off and celebrate, but you have to get back to work after that. Keep reviewing your CCNA topics, and get started on your first CCNP exam. I’ve seen too many newly-minted CCNAs who quickly forgot everything they learned for the exam because they stopped studying right after they passed.

Prepare for the interview like it’s another CCNA exam. Because it is. Except there won’t be any multiple choice.

Start preparing for the interview BEFORE you take the exam. How do you do that? Study for the exam the right way. Get some hands-on experience, either in a class or on your own rack of equipment. Get a quality Cisco education. Ask questions of those already in the field. By doing these things now, you’ll come across as a quality candidate on the big day.
