Franklin Delano Roosevelt is arguably the best president in American History. His views on the world were one not matched by others and his ideologies of races and freedom are only left to be improved by even recent standards.
His views of America were not to divide but to bring together the American people during the Great Depression and the Second World War.
FDR himself believes we are going in the wrong direction, even 60 years after his death his words live on in eminence and will forever be taken into context. Roosevelt was a democrat who helped America recover from hard times. Bush and Cheney say the United States cannot elect a democrat during war if we want to win. I say ask FDR if he approves of what Bush is doing and if the conservatives are the ones who can’t handle war.
Quotes:
"A conservative is a man with two perfectly good legs who, however, has never learned how to walk forward."
"A nation that destroys it’s soils destroys itself. Forests are the lungs of our land, purifying the air and giving fresh strength to our people."
"Here is my principle: Taxes shall be levied according to ability to pay. That is the only American principle."
"I ask you to judge me by the enemies I have made."
"If civilization is to survive, we must cultivate the science of human relationships - the ability of all peoples, of all kinds, to live together, in the same world at peace."
"It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something."
"Let us never forget that government is ourselves and not an alien power over us. The ultimate rulers of our democracy are not a President and senators and congressmen and government officials, but the voters of this country."
"The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much it is whether we provide enough for those who have little."
"True individual freedom cannot exist without economic security and independence. People who are hungry and out of a job are the stuff of which dictatorships are made."
FDR lasted three terms in office, some when he was healthy and some after he was seriously ill. He was a man of few but great words. His words are speaking loudly right now and we must follow them or our country will be in shambles for years to come.

[skimp: To deal with hastily, carelessly, or with poor material. To give inadequate funds to; be stingy with: misers who skimp their own children.]
Your web-based business is your baby. This article is all about not being stingy with your baby!
I recently completed a series of articles about search engines, and it got me thinking.
Everyone knows search engine placement is right up there when it comes to marketing your web site, product, or service. What makes it doubly important is that it is generally free, which makes this avenue of promotion vital for the smaller entrepreneur.
I’m not a marketing expert. My articles on web search trends tend to focus on things like whether search engines offer relevant results, or whether they are easy to use for average consumers. But the research for my most recent article [http://www.traffick.com/story.asp?StoryID=65 ] - on pay-for-placement search engine Goto.com - convinced me that this is a vastly underrated marketing tool that entrepreneurs need to find out about and begin deploying to their advantage.
Most won’t, and that’s to your advantage.
Of course, you should optimize your site and work on submissions to get those “free” listings in the major search engines and directories first. But if you’re like most, after you’ve done that, you are looking for means of attracting targeted (eager to buy) and incremental (not the same folks who are already finding you) traffic to your site.
The days of “free” search engine positioning are coming to a close. Looksmart charges $199 for business express submission, and now, there is a new $25 fee for non-business submission. So in the future, it may come down to what is most cost-effective, not what’s free.
In weighing various alternatives - banner ads and expensive marketing campaigns - larger businesses ask the following question all the time: what’s a new customer worth? Many have determined that a customer is worth a lot!
The quintessential example is AOL. They don’t wait around for people to figure out that they are the best Internet Service Provider. They send out as many CD’s as possible, and blitz us with television advertising telling us that AOL is easy to use. So what if a lot of other services are easy to use? Generally speaking, after the customer is signed up with AOL, it doesn’t matter what the others are doing.
You’re not AOL, but shouldn’t you learn from them? If a new customer is worth $20 or $50 to you, or even more, why are you content to spend zero on getting them to notice you? Even if there is a slight chance that someone may pay you $1,000 for your accounting services, or buy a $500 item from you with a $100 profit margin, wouldn’t the chance to have that customer come straight to your web site be worth a few pennies, maybe even more than a few?
Existing search engine traffic is fine, but it may not be all that targeted. What’s more, you don’t always have time to optimize your site for all the engines, and some search engine tactics may actually backfire (get you blacklisted). To save time, you will want to consider buying some traffic.
Some users of pay-for-placement search engines are turned off by the experience. This may be because they’re deploying the strategy too tentatively. If you want to get to a certain level, why not just get there this month, instead of taking baby steps? I know people who are bidding on 3 or 4 keywords at Goto.com. I know others - not tycoons, just energetic folks with a few extra bucks a month to spare - who are bidding on 300-400 keyword combinations. Guess who is really noticing the impact of this strategy?
There are many smaller pay-for-placement engines, and outside of Findwhat.com, they aren’t worth the effort for the trickle of traffic they’ll bring you. You should also consider the sponsored links initiative (”Sprinks”) at About.com, which allows you to bid for link placement on a topical About.com “guide site.”
At Goto.com, since you only pay for clickthroughs, the risk is minimal provided you can deliver something of interest once the visitor arrives at your site. While I’m not going to give you the step-by-step here, there is a way to build that list of keywords (and daily targeted clickthroughs) up to an impressive level, while slowly whittling down the average cost per click to a manageable five or six cents. At those rates, your banner revenues alone will probably offset the money you spend on this advertising.
If you’re bent on faster results, and willing to pay 15-20 cents per click, though, by all means up your bids to ensure that you’re in the top three, or even #1 spot for a given keyword. The reason your traffic will increase dramatically if you do this is because you’ll also be showing up in meta-search engines like Mamma, Ixquick, profusion, c4, Dogpile, and Metacrawler.
Because these avenues are going to be a bit different from the other pathways web surfers take to find you through search engines, for the first few months you will be getting a lot of incremental traffic. That is to say, new, highly targeted customers.
You may not be AOL, or even a well-funded startup. But you CAN find $50 a month, and on Goto.com, $50 can go a long way. Go ahead, give this a try and see if you don’t achieve your goals more quickly.

Have Politicians spun America and Taxpayers into an oblivion? Taxpayers know the country has gone backwards in the past 50 years? Do you think the train should back up about nine yards? While I am on a roll and thinking about what Taxpayers should do before the Tax and Spend politicians finishing bankrupting America, I’m going to point out a few critical issues. If Taxpayers are wise, they’ll carefully look at this! From 1970 til 2005, Taxes have soared and Taxpayers know why. There’s a few good politicians trying to make changes, but their hands are tied when it comes to stopping the Tax & Spend! Greed and egos have consumed them, which brings me to a couple old sayings “Have you ever seen a Brinks Truck following a hearse” or “do you think your plastic surgeon can iron out the wrinkles before they show your body”? I, along with thousands of other Taxpayers, have always felt we should vote for the person, regardless of political affiliation. It’s taken awhile, but finally, it’s sinking in and we now know the only reason they want to be public officials isn’t to protect our best interest, ‘it’s to help themselves’. Public Records show thousands of non-profit organizations that’s getting Taxpayers money. Guess who’s listed as Agent? When I hear statements, made by certain politicians, and I quote “I’ll give you the money you want, if I get the money I want!” Taxpayers feel this falls under bribery, along with several dishonest things that’s being done by these same politicians! WAKE UP, FOLKS! a] County Commissioners using Taxpayers money for Cell phones and then keeping lines open, hours on end burning up hundreds of dollars, while they ‘get a vote, we don’t need, is an abomination! The out-of- town trips being taken by the politicians is not saving money and never will you, nor do they know how to save nor do they plan to learn to save! The only education needed is done by being sincere and honest, adding, subtracting, and knowing how to run a private company, instead of trying to con everyone into thinking you’re doing good for them so you can get more and more Taxpayers money. I understand Commissioners’ cell phones were used in Hawaii! Taxpayers want cell phones discontinued immediately! b] Term Limits MUST be set for Guilford County Commissioners and other public positions. This should have been done many years ago! c] Voting laws must be changed! Why should we allow people who don’t work, live on welfare and social programs, to vote? Why should we allow people to be in public office who use Taxpayers monies to support themselves and their businesses? THINK ABOUT IT! d] Why should Taxpayers foot the bills for the 20 or so employees of International Civil Rights Organization located downtown Greensboro? As I’ve stated before, A & T has an elegant memorial honoring the “Sit-In Movement”! Taxpayers know that millions of dollars are being used for personal gain in the name of civil rights. TIME TO END THE CHARADE!. e] Why should Taxpayers foot the bills for the Woolworth building, since it’s owned by Melvin Alston and Earl Jones? This is another ‘endless money pit’ created by guess who? The N & R editorial is just like any other person wanting to be a politician and like a lion “roaring to hear his head roar!” Since you feel those people work without pay, and had you checked, you would have known they got more Taxpayers money recently, why don’t you go crawl back under your rock. Better yet, why don’t you furnish your money to complete the ‘endless money pit’ building. Oh, and just think, your money will get the staff, Alston, Jones and rest of gangs additional pay! Ole Skip and Earl might even give you a couple shares of their stock in their corporation! f] Why do Taxpayers allow people who are members of NAACP and other racist groups to serve on public boards and make decisions as to what’s best for our Country? This, too, is another abomination! g] Why do racist and hate groups keep doing ‘re-enactments’ of what they’re calling “history”? Why do they continue to re-write and lie about history? The only answer me and thousands of Taxpayers can think of is because they can get local, state, and federal government monies for their non-profit organizations so they don’t have to work. In real life, the only thing this is doing is stirring up terrorism. NEEDS TO STOP IMMEDIATELY! N & R editorial - “Give Truth & Reconciliation a chance” makes Taxpayers think the brains went bye-bye! I wonder if the writer pays taxes? I wonder if he knows that in 2005 (not 1979) the T & R group set up a non-profit organization so they could take Taxpayers money? HELLO! For years, I’ve heard stated and I quote “Morally and Ethically” we owe these people! This type thinking has been brought about by people who want and use Taxpayers monies, create non-profit organizations pretending to clean up drugs, kids and neighborhoods and all they’re doing is moving up in the world while you sit in poverty you’ve created yourself. Have you seen any of the people who have made tons of money in playing ball, playing in the movies, recording music, etc. come back to your neighborhoods and put their money into it to make it better? NO is the answer! They move themselves and their families away, to a gated community, because they no longer know you or the old neighborhood! ANYONE LISTENING? Don’t you think these type people know that you have to stop the illegitimates from having more illegitimates, before you can stop drugs, prostitutes, HIV/Aids, run-down public housing, stealing, killing and terrorism! They don’t want you to stop! If you clean up your act, they can no longer get Taxpayers money! THINK ABOUT THIS! The bottom line is approximately 40% working Taxpayers, approximately 20% Elderly and Retired, this leaves approximately 40% that doesn’t work, lives off welfare and social programs, sleeps around with lots of different men, and produces illegitimates by the dozens. Since this type behavior has broken the bank and caused an enormous deficit, how much longer do you think Taxpayers can continue to furnish you with housing, food, utilities, insurance, daycare, schools, doctors, hospitals, ambulances, and medicine? Regardless to the do-gooders, liberals, left wingers, non-profit groups, and anyone else that thinks “Morally and ethically” we owe you. Take my word for it, Taxpayers don’t owe you ‘one thin penny’ let alone years of support you’ve gotten by the “pity me” and “you’ve discriminated against me” words you so freely yell out every minute. For whatever it’s worth, I’ve gone back to the 1400’s, searched all the ships bringing people to America from all over world, and no where did I find any slaves being brought in by the ‘blue-eyed dragoons’ as I heard the white person being referred as. However, I did find where Jamaican’s came to America, brought their servants, started businesses in New York and other areas of America. No where did I found that the ‘blue-eyed dragoons’ had slaves, let alone brought slaves from Africa. I’ve searched records for any person, or all races, who wanted to work. In the 1800’s, I found where Buffalo Soldiers were Officers and how they fought for their Country along side the ‘dragoons’. I found many companies, like Little Slugger bats in Tennessee, that employed everyone that wanted to work. No, I don’t use, nor take the word for, internet sites, or idiots, that try to re-write history for their own conveniences and self satisfaction. It’s up to all Taxpaying Americans to get involved and to get things changed. Attend all political meetings. Write, Call, and e-mail all elected officials. Surely you can give a couple hours a month to change America for you and your family.

I don’t know about anyone else but I have had it with this ridiculous assertion that President Bush was AWOL from The National Guard in 1972. The President had provided proof in 2000 that this was not true and now is again having to provide proof in 2004 of the same. Enough already. The President has responded to his critics and should close the book on this issue.
They will not stop. A news article released just today quotes Terry McAuliffe, chairman of the DNC as saying:
“The fact remains that there is still no evidence that George W. Bush showed up for duty as ordered while in Alabama,” McAuliffe said
The records, some being released for the first time, didn’t satisfy Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe. He argued that the payroll and summary service records posed more questions than they answered.
McAuliffe continues to try and resurrect this issue even after officials say that Bush’s service is satisfactory:
“This paperwork doesn’t say where he was or what type of training he conducted,” said Lt. Col. Scott Gorske, a military fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington. “What it does say is the days that he did train and that he got paid.”
He said National Guard members are not necessarily required to attend a drill each month, but rather to train a certain amount of time over a 12-month period. That is why Bush could have met his yearly service requirements even if there were some months in which he did not attend a drill, Gorske said.
Folks, President Bush received an HONORABLE DISCHARGE from the National Guard. You would think with the way the DNC is on this ridiculous ranting that the President received a dishonorable discharge. I might understand their tenacity if that was the case, but it isn’t.
Quite frankly the questions were asked and answered in 2000.
So, President Bush is not a war hero, Oh, okay, so that means that he shouldn’t be President ? What a ridiculous thought that is. Especially after Slick Willie was elected and was President for eight years, and never served in ANY military capacity at all, and as a matter of fact, dodged the draft by going to England to protest, er, I mean get an education at Oxford University.
When President George H.W. Bush, in 1992, alluded to the fact that Clinton never served in the military and in fact dodged the draft, it was John Kerry who chastised the President for calling attention to the fact and stated that military service didn’t matter. Now all of a sudden if you are not a war hero you are not qualified to be President. Funny we didn’t hear from McAuliffe on Clinton’s military career, oh that’s right I forgot, he doesn’t have one.
And, as for our current soon to be democratic Presidential nominee, yes he was a war hero, yes he saved a few lives, but how many lives were lost as a result of him and Hanoi Jane by giving aid and comfort to the enemy by protesting and calling America’s Vietnam Vets, murderers, rapists, and Ghingas Khans. How about Mr. Phoney baloney, throwing away his, oops I mean, someone else’s medals in Washington. His are still on his wall. How genuine is that, and later on in life he now reveres those medals, why don’t the rest of the veterans who actually threw theirs away speak out .
The North Vietnamese General in charge of the military campaign that drove the U.S. out of South Vietnam in 1975 credited a group led by now democratic front runner John Kerry, with helping the NVA achieve victory. In a 1985 memoir Gen. Vo Nguyen Giap stated that if it weren’t for organizations like Kerry’s Vietnam Veterans Against the War, Hanoi would have surrendered to the U.S. Wow, that’s pretty powerful stuff if you ask me, Senator. You and your group may have been responsible for the death of untold thousands of U.S. and South Vietnamese soldiers and civilians by your actions.
Lt. Col. Oliver North(Ret.), himself a Vietnam Veteran and recipient of two purple hearts, put it best, ” The Vietnam Veterans Against the War encouraged people to desert, encouraged people to mutiny, some used what they wrote to justify “fragging officers.” John Kerry has the blood of American soldiers on his hands.”
Oh and by the way, Terry McAuliffe never served in any military capacity, and for those of you who will try to jump on this, neither did I, but I’m not attacking anyone’s military service, I’m defending the President of the United states. A President who served honorably in the National Guard, and who is being unfairly labeled as AWOL and a deserter by some.
Furthermore, Senator Kerry and Mr. McAuliffe, how dare you besmirch the reputation of the fine men and women who have served in the National Guard whether in war time or not, whether they were war heroes or not. Kerry likens guard service to those who wanted to avoid the draft and Mc Auliffe stated that serving in the Guard was not military service and not service to your country. Where is the OUTRAGE from these people that served in the Guard. This WILL NOT GO UNANSWERED.
It is time for Americans to get OUTRAGED and speak out against those who are trying to degrade the President. Write your newspapers, call talk show, and your congressmen, and senators. Tell them that you’ve heard enough of these ridiculous accusations that are baseless and meaningless to the qualifications for President.
God Bless President Bush, and God Bless the United States of America !

I’ve decided that this liberal needs to start throwing the same crap at conservatives that they’re slinging at us. Yes, I am going to sink to their level because they’re winning.
Conservative jackass: We are winning in Iraq and the unsuccessful attacks in London prove that the terrorists are weakened because of it. Indy: People as dumb as you should not be allowed to breathe.
Honestly, how can anyone have a rational argument with a conservative who is so irrational as to question your motivations, patriotism, manhood or intelligence every time they disagree with you. The next time I’m asked a ludicrous and simple minded question or hear a completely ridiculous statement by one of these ignorant morons I’m going to throw it right back at them.
Conservative dunderhead: The attacks in London are what happens when you don’t respond with enough military force. Indy: Why do you support the terrorists and hate America?
I’m tired of going out and buying books and talking to different people who are close to the heart of different issues to find out what they think and know. From now on I’m going to let my uninformed opinion run free on the open range of the ridiculous. The Indy Voice will no longer reference some “definitive book on the subject,” an expert or worse of all, some “fact”. From now on I am going to be driving down the crooked conservative road where dribbling and allowing opinion to skew the facts is not only allowed but encouraged.
Conservative idiot: The British, because they are by and large a group of liberal pansies, are not going to respond to these attacks and they’re probably going to get hit again. Indy: Does your momma know that you’re a fascist pig?
I’ve come to the conclusion that where I’m at in life has everything to do with my ability and I’m not going to sit around and listen to the sniveling comments of a bunch of self-righteous, hypocritical, small-minded peons who have as many brain cells as I cleave from my ass when I scratch it.
Conservative dipstick: The British we’re just asking for these attacks by having an open society that promotes multi-culturalism. Indy: Why don’t you move to another country since you seem to hate this one so much?
No longer will I travel to the library, the bookstore or pick-up the newspaper because why does any of that matter. I’m going to just ignore all the so-called “facts” and tailor my arguments to appeal to all that is bad in human nature. Hell, that’s exactly what the Republicans have been doing for years and they have a lock on the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of government not to mention the religious and corporate institutions in this country.
Conservative retard: The U.S. and Britain are fighting an away game against these terrorists so we don’t have to fight them here! It is unfortunate that London has been attacked and I offer them my condolences and solidarity. Indy: I really believe that the Conservatives, and the clergy, and the televangelists, and the segregationists and the greedy capitalists who are actively trying to make that a mainstream lifestyle, the Republican party, Family Research Council—all of them who have tried to theocratize America and Britain—I point the finger in their face and say “you helped this happen.”

America can ill afford to reward terrorists, yet The Blade reports our bankrupt country has budgeted $200,000,000 “economic and infrastructure assistance to the Palestian Authority.” This same issue of The Blade reports growing concerns that democracy among the “Palestinians” could backfire upon us with their rejection of one terrorist group, Fatah, co-founded by terrorist Mahmoud Abbas and terrorist Yasser Arafat, for the terrorist group America is still honest enough to call a terrorist organization: Hamas.
The Blade reports that Fatah is “expected to take a beating at the hands of the Islamic Hamas, which is running candidates for the first time.”
It is the American people and our so-called war against terrorism that is taking the beating. How can we expect to win a war against those Nazi-Muslims who have declared war against the West, especially against the United States and Israel, when we continue to reward terrorists and President Bush pimps another Arab regime, an accursed “Palestine,” upon the Promised Land of Israel? Doesn’t President Bush know his facts?
You don’t have to be an Einstein to figure out that the $200,000,000 going into Palestinian coffers equals more Americans and Israelis going into coffins! If Islamic Hamas wins the terrorist organization of your choice election, that $200,000,000 goes right into their bloody hands!
The Blade also reports Israeli Prime Minister Sharon hypocritically accusing the world of remaining silent during the Holocaust, when he pushes his Judenrein policies, his planned pogrom against the Jews of Gaza, his intended ethnic cleansing of Jews from their homes, properties, businesses, synagagues, cemeteries, playgrounds… selling his soul to the fascist EU and selling out Israel in the suicidal “peace” process!
“Land for peace” is a mindless mantra. Israel has lots less land and no more peace! WHERE’S THE PEACE? And Israeli vulture Shimon Peres, who came to power over Rabin’s dead body, is yet to be arrested and put on trial for treason, having broken Israeli law when they were intelligent enough to forbid contact with the terrorist PLO.
It is in our best national interest to strongly support Greater Israel, not a dismembered Jewish homeland with a cancerous body called “Palestine” polluting it. President Bush professes to be a Christian, let him read his Bible and see what I’ve written is the plain truth.

Politics in New Jersey
Joshua J. Bunton August 16, 2004
Have you been paying attention to the National News lately? No? Then, you haven’t heard about Governor Jim McGreevey.
For those who aren’t familiar with the story we’ll begin with the beginning.
On Thursday, August 12, 2004, Governor Jim McGreevey held a press conference to announce he was “resigning” effective November 15, 2004.
Accompanied by his wife, Vanessa, Governor Jim McGreevey further announced that he was a “gay American,” and that he had an affair with Golan Cipel.
In an interview with The New York Post on August 14, 2004, Golan Cipel claims that he is a heterosexual and was sexually assaulted by the New Jersey governor more than a dozen times.
As concerning as this scandal is, the mainstream media is applauding the fact that he was “brave” to come out and ignoring the more important issues.
There’s the issue of Golan Cipel (an Israeli national) who Governor Jim McGreevey named as his Homeland Security adviser. Cipel has no security experience. He is a former poet and sailor who once worked as a television news reporter and a spokesman for the Israeli Consulate in New York.
Cipel got the job without the official fanfare that typically accompanies such appointments. Cipel did not undergo a background check. Furthermore, Cipel is not an American citizen, so he could not qualify for a security clearance.
Then there is the issue of the governor waiting until November 15, 2004 to resign. The New Jersey GOP has requested the governor to quit immediately as he stated on August 12, 2004.
Sources have confirmed that John Kerry’s campaign requested Governor McGreevey to wait until after the November 2, 2004 presidential election to resign. The source stated, “The Kerry campaign asked him to stay on until after the election because they need to have consistency until after the (presidential) election.”
Additionally, the source confirmed the Kerry campaign requested the stay in McGreevey leaving office because, “the campaign contacted the Governor’s Office and asked McGreevey to hold off on resigning, according to the source, fearing such a disruption would shift campaign funds and focus away from Kerry’s race and into a contest for governor on Nov. 2.”
What’s more concerning is the governor’s decision to put politics ahead of what’s good for the state of New Jersey.
If McGreevey were to resign before Sept. 3, there would be a special election Nov. 2 to fill the remaining 14 months of his term.
However, after September 3, 2004, Senate President Richard J. Codey, D-Essex, will likely be acting governor until January 2006.
Democrats said Republicans were exploiting the situation for political reasons.
Politics will be politics, in the end the only people who pay the price is the “citizens.” Whether it is domestic issues or the current threat of terrorism in New Jersey the citizens should demand the right to an open election.

THIS IS NOT ABOUT ‘WHITE OR BLACK’ IT’S ABOUT BEING A GOOD AMERICAN!
While I am on a roll and thinking about what Taxpayers should do before the Tax and Spend politicians finishing bankrupting America, I’m going to point out a few critical issues. But first, I have to address today’s article “NAACP is needed to protect rights of black Americans”. Does this mean it’s o.k. for White Americans to have a NAAWP to protect their rights and collect Taxpayers money, also, so they no longer have to work at a real job? Frankly, I don’t care, either way, but I’m fed up with Taxpayers footing the bills for any of these racist and hatred groups in the name of civil rights! Before the 1960’s, Whites and Blacks worked together. Why, all of a sudden, ‘it’s a white and black’ thing?’ I feel sorry for people who use this as an excuse. Don’t you understand that all Taxpaying Americans’ civil rights are being violated by the greed of the politicians? The NAACP is just one of the non-profit organizations I’ve been talking about getting Taxpayers monies without working. If NAACP was helping anyone but themselves, they’d be in all neighborhoods, stopping illegitimates from having more illegitimates. Don’t you think this is causing prostitution, incest, run-down housing, drugs, rape, stealing and killing? Why do you think your honorable and good neighbors are trying to ‘take back the schools, streets and neighborhoods?” Because they know the problems the terrorism and destruction that’s been caused by this way of life! Once again, this isn’t about Black and White, it’s about being a good American! If you can broaden your thinking, start listening instead of criticizing, you’d know this!
Public Records show thousands of non-profit organizations getting Taxpayers money. Guess who’s listed as Agent? Check out Secretary of State and Tax records. I bet then you’d find some one to vote for that doesn’t have non-profits and other groups to take your hard-earned money! THINK ABOUT IT!
Discrimination against hard-working Taxpayers: a] County Commissioners using Taxpayers money for Cell phones burning air time, because the politician ‘just wanted some time off!” Cell phones used in Hawaii! Taxpayers want cell phones and other freebies discontinued immediately! b] Any politician using Taxpayers money for going out of town should be stopped. We all know, these ‘elbow-bending’ trips are for fun nor learning. Been there, done that, but on my dime! c] Term Limits MUST be set for Guilford County Commissioners and other public positions. d] Voting laws must be changed! Why should we allow people who don’t work, live on welfare and social programs, to vote? Why should we allow people to be in public office who use Taxpayers monies to support themselves and their businesses? e] Why should Taxpayers foot the bills, pay the rent, salaries, etc. for the 20 or so employees of Civil Rights Organization? As I’ve stated before, A & T has an elegant memorial honoring the “Sit-In Movement”! TIME TO END THE CHARADE!. f] Why should Taxpayers foot the bills & mortgage payments for the Woolworth building? Check who owns building! g] Why do racist and hate groups keep doing ‘re-enactments’. It’s only creating more terrorism, of what they’re calling “history”?

Hurricane Katrina hit and now charities are asking for your help, primarily in monetary form.
Here are seven ways to keep from harm against a con artist who wants to take advantage of your good will.
You can make sure your hard earned money gets into the right hands with these seven safety tips when asked for a donation.
1. Asking for their identification is a must. The organization AND the solicitor. Find out what the purpose of the charity is and how funds are used and allocated.
2. Ask if contributions are tax deductible
3. If you’re not convinced by their answers…DON’T GIVE A DONATION.
4. Give to charities and foundations you know.
5. Do a web search and some checking if you’ve never heard of the charity before or if it is a name that is similar to the ones you know of.
6. Do not fall for high pressure tactics. If solicitors won’t take no for an answer, or come back tomorrow so you can do your homework on them, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY.
7. Be suspicious of charities who only accept cash. Always send a check made out to the charity and NOT to the individual requesting the donation.
By knowing a few tips when charities are asking for funds, it can make the difference between providing a con artist with your hard earned money…or helping the people who need it the most with your generous donation.
