Ten Top Actions for Building Your Team Successfully
As I am writing this introduction to this top ten, Diana Ross is ominously singing in my mind: “You can’t hurry love, no, you just have to wait!” What does that have to do with MLM marketing, I hear you ask? Well, a lot! If, like I do, you consider that love is the motivating force in having you sell what you sell, then read on! You might just discover your prospective team mate is much closer than you think, and who knows, you might just experience how attractive you really are to your own success… No matter what, you’ll discover ten appealing ways to meet the one you are looking for: YOU!
1) Pace not race
How many times did you rush to create your down line, just to see people quitting on you, or not committed to making it work? Bear with me here: listen to Mamma’s words: “You can’t hurry team. No you’ll just have to wait. Your team don’t come easy. It’s a game of give and take. You can’t hurry team. No you’ll just have to wait. Just trust in the good time, no matter how long it takes!” Now, if you had the absolute guarantee that the perfect people would show up for you to play with, would you rush, would you force anything? MLM is not a get rich quick scheme. Pace not race is the way to success: with the right people, you will all win!
2) Clean up
Some of us go to great extremes to make sure our home is presentable when we receive guests. We order and dust and vacuum… However, how many of us are truly making time to empty out our mind of any possible garbage (read agendas) before talking to a prospect? If your intention is other than service, your plan will backfire. Either you might procrastinate following up, or your tongue will twist at the wrong time… Become an expert in busting unclean communication, such as biases, judgments, any wants, any shoulds or coulds. Being impeccable in your speaking will bring you heaven on earth!
3) Commit
Did you just go under cover? Come back, don’t be afraid: commitment is really a good thing! Think of it as the direct bridge that will insure your passage into the promised land of success! It is very exciting to simply become clear, and say: “I do! For better or for worse, I will love representing this product or this service, I will honor it, comfort it, and keep it in sickness and in health; forsaking all others, be true to it as long as it is my truth to do so.” Imagine the gain in time and energy to not have to err any longer… Decision is the key to cut through your chaos!
4) And dot com it!
MLM people might choose to learn from the magic of these 3 letters COM. We already saw it in the lines above. COM as in com-mitment. COM as in clean com-munication. And there is more. Quite obvious is COM as in com-merce, indeed! We might embrace the COM that is truly echoing and highlighting our deepest purpose: the COM of community! This understanding will assist you in miraculous ways, fostering collaboration and cooperation in your team. It will bring amazing rewards, as it expresses and sustains MLM’s ideal: people COMing together to support each other in mutually creating financial prosperity.
Connect back to your enthusiasm: COM-pletely!
5) Control
From COM to CON, there is but a small shift! This one is especially tricky: one may wonder why MLMs have been so notoriously misunderstood by the media.
If there is one thing I have learned before I once became a pro at doing art, is that I had to give up being a con artist… What I mean here is that I had to surrender to the sweetness of life, in the knowing that the perfect inspiration would come, that I could not control it. That I did not control anything about it. “You can’t hurry love, no…” So I waited, until my wish to con-trol turned into the will to con-tribute. Do so, and watch your business becoming increasingly abundant!
6) Love
Love what you sell and the money will follow! One very exciting part in MLM is that so many services or products REALLY add quality to life, whether through health, or financial services. It is totally easy to build your business when you believe in what you represent. There is to be found the key to your authenticity, that will inspire the right words to promote your offering. From such a place, your sincerity can earn a trust and a hearing. That is pure deliciousness, and one that is palpable, visible, touchable, testable, chewable! And the deliciousness is that in making sense, it makes cents too, and tons of it!
7) ML yourself
What would that mean to ML yourself? How could you Multi Level your being, and allow yourself to evolve? My awesome friend Cheryl said it beautifully: “MLM is personal development masterfully molded into a business.” Growing gives you more skills and abilities, which, in turn, evolve you! There again, it is an interdevelopmental venture. You develop, your business grows. Your business develops, you grow! Such fascinating reciprocity makes the game more and more engaging: Can you see? As long as you play, you cannot fail!
Build richly
Think of the universe as a giant supermarket… What would you like to choose in it, which will give your presentation the perfect expression? Build that desired image abundantly, keep your focus on it at all time, speak it richly! It will keep you from being in fear, as you move out of dreaded scarcity — “scare city”! It will wipe out any feeling of being undeserving, or needy. Can you sense how helpful that is in bringing closure to a sell? It is legitimate promotion to market from a place of wealth. It clears out any and all possible manipulations. It just leaves the purity of the nurturing of fruitful and satisfying relationships, and, thus a successful team.
9) Care
Whether selling a product or a service, please do not see your prospects as the golden goose, that will deliver more eggs to you, more favors, more advantages, more admiration… Please hear it: this is not about you; it is about us! The more you allow yourself to know that, the more fulfilled you will be, and the more prosperous your business will become! Allow yourself to distance the childish selfishness that is in all of us, and become the compassion, the care that is in all of us also! As a matter of fact, whether in business or life, and certainly with your team, let that sentence become your mantra: “how can I help?”
10) Jump now!
Ask yourself: am I involved in this business so that one day I will have the freedom to do what I “really” want? There is a simple route to freedom: choose it now! Jump now on the freedom train. Retire your slave costume now, as it no longer fits the person you are becoming! You are bigger than that, bigger than your fear of bigness, bigger than the habits that imprisoned you to a life of quiet despair and unlived dreams! Be free, bold, outrageous and provocative now; you can do it! That empowerment is your first step and your first team, from which everything else unfolds: “You can hurry that, yes, you don’t have to wait!”

Creativity can be defined as problem identification and idea generation whilst innovation can be defined as idea selection, development and commercialisation.
There are other useful definitions in this field, for example, creativity can be defined as consisting of a number of ideas, a number of diverse ideas and a number of novel ideas.
There are distinct processes that enhance problem identification and idea generation and, similarly, distinct processes that enhance idea selection, development and commercialisation. Whilst there is no sure fire route to commercial success, these processes improve the probability that good ideas will be generated and selected and that investment in developing and commercialising those ideas will not be wasted.
Tacit Knowledge
Nonaka et al (1995) define knowledge as being tacit or explicit. Explicit knowledge is all that can be codified, easily communicated and explained. Tacit knowledge is everything else - that which is hidden, deep rooted in action, hard to formalise and difficult to communicate.
Creativity and innovation are enhanced when individuals possess high rates of tacit knowledge. Tacit knowledge can be enhanced in a number of ways:
a) Engagement in many varied, novel and diverse activities. Those individuals with a life long interest in many subjects tend to be the most creative.
b) Utilising networks and collaboration. This allows intellectual cross-pollination, frame breaking and bridging of disparate worlds.
c) Access to many varied, diverse and novel information sources. These increase the intellectual input into problem identification and idea generation.
These and other topics are covered in depth in the MBA dissertation on Managing Creativity & Innovation, which can be purchased (along with a Creativity and Innovation DIY Audit, Good Idea Generator Software and Power Point Presentation) from http://www.managing-creativity.com/

New Bus stops, which turn into water retention collectors are being looked at as a way to mitigate the drought situations and help conserve water. With some many Western States at a complete drought crisis, we should be looking at ways to further conserve our water supplies. One concept being which came out of the World Think Tank was to have bus stops collect water on the roofs and within the frames of the booths.
The water will be collected in the roof, which would slightly expand on top to create more surface area for collection of rainwater. The roof will be a box shape with an “X” shaped box as the top of the bus stop and incorporated into the roof with holes in the center where the “X” comes together with a membrane in it to keep it clean from the bird droppings on the roof. The posts of the bus stop will also be part of the containers with a garden hose fixture on them, this will be used to water nearby plants and water shrubbery. The collected water will also used to power wash or steam clean the bus stops to keep them free of disease and clean for patrons to make people feel comfortable so they want to ride the bus and thus save natural resources.
We know that street-sweepers cleaning up paper, trash or debris, which can fill up near drains and cause flooding during rains require consistent street sweeping services. Street sweepers must fill up water to adequately do this effectively, this is a huge usage of water. Cities, which own these bus stops can use the free-water supplies collected during rains by the bus stop concept collection system to fill up street sweepers, thus meaning they do not need to hook up to fire hydrants along the route to fill them up, which promotes spillage and waste due to the cumbersome nature of that operation.
A very interesting concept along this line of thinking is a company promoting green roofs on buildings, upon contacting this company on another project we now see they have been thinking transportation issues, the more of us using buses the less emissions of hydrocarbons and thus cleaner environments. Here is the company’s information on the Green roof bus stop roof with shrubbery;
http://www.lid-stormwater.net/design_img/4…0bus%20stop.jpg
We believe that conservation is important to water supplies through out the world and by conserving water we can make it thru the drought until additional infrastructure can be built like desalination plants, pipelines, strategic canals, dams and other tools to keep up with our needs and thirst for water as our population and the populations of the world increase.
If you have innovative ideas on water conservation, dual use transportation ideas, bus stop designs or things of this nature please spread the word, we must conserve our fresh water supplies.

Managing Six Sigma calls for a multidirectional approach as guided by industry specifics, projects on hand, expertise level and commitment of upper management as well as the goals envisioned by management.
Managing effectiveness in Six Sigma can be defined as well directed efforts to successful deployment of the methodology to the project which is chosen to give you the best results. This helps to improve the company’s bottom line.
Managing Six Sigma Effectiveness
Experience and research over the years have time and again proven that grooming leaders results in maintaining the competitiveness that corporations need. Consequently, the end result of this is seen as improvement to profitability and sustainable and predictable constant improvements.
Effective Leaders: Key contributions to the effectiveness of Six Sigma deployment are by the leaders of high caliber. The leaders like black belts, master black belts and champions are central to the success of the project. Black belts have to standup to face the challenges during the implementation stages if the implementation has to succeed. The resistance that might crop up has to be dealt with using a practical approach.
Selection Of The Right Tools: If black belts are central to the successful implementation of Six Sigma, correct selection of tools is what helps to steer the project towards improvement. Statistically, each one of the tools must be able to measure and show in which way the project is progressing. The right tools set up checks and balances as each activity in the process can be measured against its original value. Accuracy of measurements and verification sets the stage for mid-way course correction, if needed.
Creating Communication Channels: The utmost importance must be placed on establishing and utilizing communication channel for all purposes. This does not stop at just communicating matters of project development but must include human resource plans that aid role players of Six Sigma. Regularity of communication in both written and verbal form is essential so that everyone involved is kept abreast in order to help foster communication. But the main advantage that regular communication brings about is clarity about the status and progress of the project. While developing the communication channels, it should be disseminated so that it is understood by all involved.
Establishing An Effective Project Tracking System: Tracking the project effectively is at the core of managing Six Sigma effectiveness. The essence of effectively managing projects lies in the hands of Champions and Black Belts. A watchdog committee of Black Belts and Champions must ensure a few key aspects such as developing documented project inventory for at least one year, assuring linkage of customer needs and critical business needs with the project, along with establishing an optimized project scope and size. Although documentation in itself does not ensure the success of Six Sigma, it must be taken as the first step towards establishing a permanent culture for the company to follow.
Cost of quality and improvement should be the focus in Six Sigma implementation. One must keep in mind that the transition to problem solving from data collected is continual for optimal effectiveness of Six Sigma implementation

I like most American’s complain about taxes and how the rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer. You’ve heard the arguments, the poor can’t pay taxes because they are poor, the rich don’t pay enough, and the middle class is left to pay the brunt. I complain not only as a cynic but also as a hopeful citizen that someday, something will change. I don’t wish to be seen as a socialist nor a bigot along class lines. I just want everyone to pay a fair share of the collective burden as our founding fathers intended.
Do you think the rich have paid their fair share? Do you feel that after paying taxes on several hundred thousand dollars the burden should be lessened because you’ve paid enough or more than the average amount per capita? Do you think it is fair or unfair that one person should pay more than another for the same services received?
According to the 16th Amendment on income taxes, “The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.”
Without apportionment, what does that mean?
Here is a quote from Supreme Court Justice Paterson in Hylton vs U.S. (3 US 171 [1796]): “The constitution declares, that a capitation tax is a direct tax; and both in theory and practice, a tax on land is deemed to be a direct tax… The provision was made in favor of the southern states; they possessed a large number of slaves; they had extensive tracts of territory, thinly settled, and not very productive. A majority of the states had but few slaves, and several of them a limited territory, well settled, and in a high state of cultivation. The southern states, if no provision had been introduced in the constitution, would have been wholly at the mercy of the other states. Congress in such case, might tax slaves, at discretion or arbitrarily, and land in every part of the Union, after the same rate or measure: so much a head, in the first instance, and so much an acre, in the second. To guard them against imposition, in these particulars, was the reason of introducing the clause in the constitution.”
Without apportionment, means quite clearly that the government has the power to tax people at different rates. In Justice Patterson’s explanation, the reason for taxing people at different rates is, some can afford to pay more than others based on their productivity and it is the governments duty to guard those less able to pay, against imposition.
It does not take a genius to understand that sharing the burden equally does not mean we divide up the national debt evenly and each pay one share. Sharing the burden equally means we all carry that portion of the total burden we are capable of carrying (paying).
Unfortunately the current tax structure soaks both the poor and middle classes only to spare the rich. The “Who Pays” national study finds that poor and middle income families pay a much higher percentage of their income to taxes than do the rich. The wealthiest pay non federal taxes at a rate equaling 7.9% of their income while the middle class and poor pay 9.8% and 12.5% respectively. In the United States, a country with the phrase “In God We Trust” bannered on its currency, this seems unconscionable. How can those with the least be expected to contribute the most by percentage? What happened to guarding against imposition?
Taxes are our collective duty, a price of continued enjoyment of the privileges of being a U.S. citizen. When I hear that extremely privileged people can’t afford to pay the same percentage of income in taxes that the poor and middle class pay, I find myself hoping their investments fail miserably so that they will be able to afford to pay their share of the burden. If we are Americans collectively and we all enjoy the benefits collectively, then we should pay collectively and accordingly to what our means allow us to contribute. This may seem a harsh view, driven along class lines, but even some of America’s wealthiest hold this true to one extent or another.
Warren E. Buffett, George Soros, and Ted Turner, have warned about the concentration of wealth and how it can turn a union based on merit into an aristocracy. Economic growth can be hindered by allowing a nation’s capital to sit idly in the hands of inheritors instead of funneling it back thru the ranks to a new generation of innovators and workers. Even Alan Greenspan, the Federal Reserve chairman, warned in Congressional testimony, “For the democratic society, that is not a very desirable thing to allow it to happen”, speaking on the concentration of wealth in our country.
F. Scott Fitzgerald said the very rich, “are different from you and me,” to which Ernest Hemingway replied, “Yes, they have more money.” To this I would add yes and they pay a disproportional smaller percentage of taxes on that money. This means the wealthiest one percent, are enjoying an unfair economic advantage over the rest of us beyond what they have earned.
Before you gather up arms against your local doctors and lawyers thinking they aren’t paying their share, you should understand I’m not talking about them at all. I am talking about nobody you will, in all likelihood, ever see much less meet. What the average American sees as a person of wealth is more likely a true middle class or upper middle class person. In fact the richest or wealthiest person you know is probably in the 50% tax bracket, fully half of all their earnings going to one tax or another. No, it isn’t these people I am speaking of at all.
The persons I’m talking about are the true upper five percent of Americans, those making over ten million dollars a year. Did you know the wealthiest 5% have collected 59% of the money but only pay 38 % of the taxes? Did you know it gets worse? The wealthiest 1% own 38% of all wealth in this country and pay only 25% of the taxes. Does this seem fair and like a shared burden?
Knowing this, would you now be surprised to learn that the bottom 40% of tax payers (you and me), have an average net wealth of $1100.00 hundred dollars? We on average are worth $1100.00 dollars and are paying on average $1793.00 in taxes. This is 163% of our net worth gone every year and people are still wondering why they can’t seem to get ahead in life. Why are we paying so much? It’s easier to answer this when you consider the wealthiest are paying 3.5 percent of their wealth in taxes. We pay 163% and they pay 3.5 %. The money has to come from somewhere after all.
What does this mean in plain English and what is the solution?
If all taxpayers paid the same 10.5 percent of their wealth in taxes as a median income family pays, the taxes of the lowest 40 percent (you and me) would be cut by 94 percent while the taxes of the wealthiest would triple. Source: Congressional Budget Office and United for a Fair Economy
“We the people”, need to print this up as a bumper sticker, spread the word and start firing the political puppets of the rich. I for one do not hate the rich, they are Americans also. I just want them to pay the same 10% I feel obligated to.

One of the most overlooked methods of doing business is using the barter system. People assume that you have to pay money in exchange for the receipt of something of value. Not only is this not true, it makes good business sense to barter for the exchange of goods and services. Bartering is a great way to get and give something of value without spending a dime.
Just exactly does it mean to barter anyway?
Barter or trade is a powerful tool that represents a solution for companies with available inventory or services. By accepting payment in trade dollars instead of cash, a business maximizes their efficiency by increasing inventory turnover or billable hours. Using the trade dollars earned, the company can purchase the goods or services they want - without paying cash.
Bartering can occur with almost anything. Any product or service can be bartered and it doesn’t have to be a business only trade. In planning to barter, it’s important to think creatively. What have you got to offer that someone is willing to trade for? What do you need in exchange? When planning to barter it’s also important to understand that it never hurts to ask. Inquire and ask a supplier if they barter. Don’t be embarrassed. You don’t barter because you don’t have the money to spend. You should do it because it’s one of the smartest and fastest growing ways of doing business.
You can barter at any time. It’s an excellent way to build relationships while conserving cash. Excess goods and services can be traded for things and goods that you need.
Here are some examples:
You are an expert in marketing. You need a new brochure; you can barter your marketing expertise to a printing company in exchange for them printing the product.
You are an expert in customer service. You need a vacation; you can trade your expertise at the hotel destination in exchange for free rooms.
You have a yard sale and a painter comes by who wants some of your stuff. You need your house painted. You can offer to trade the stuff you are planning to sell for their painting services.
Here are some methods for more successful bartering:
Be flexible in your thinking.
Bartering will not always deliver exactly what you want, when you want. You must be willing to change vendors, try new ways to promote your business, or perhaps look into different options. If you can be flexible bartering will not only work for you but it will make life more interesting and adventurous.
Be creative.
Creativity means you must be willing to look beyond the obvious. You must see new ways of doing things. Don’t only think cash as the answer. You might find that trading can be an even more powerful motivational tool. Using trade to settle debt, close sales, travel, or charitable contributions are just a few of the creative applications of bartering.
Be willing to wait for the right opportunity.
As with patience, with bartering, good things come to those who wait. Nine times out of 10 you will get you what you want, but you may have to wait for it.
Be quick to respond.
While you must be willing to wait, you must also move quickly when something comes along that is not normally available on trade. Those who do not respond quickly are often left sitting on the sidelines. It’s like a taking advantage of a great sale. Don’t spend time mulling it over; grab it the first time.
Think barter first.
In the normal, everyday world you are always thinking about how you are going to increase sales to pull in more dollars into your business. In the barter world, the sell-side is easy. Now you need to expend the same kind of time and energy on using your dollars. You must think trade before spending cash. Think trade all the time.
So lets get started bartering. What do you have to offer?

Tracking Your ROI (Return on investment)
This is one crucial stat you will need to know. You need to find out what keyword converts and what does not and sufficient knowledge in this stat will dramatically slash your advertising costs. Now Google offers Analytics which you can link to your adwords account and track your ad performance.
How to Improve ROI?
Improve conversion rates. This can be achieved by, improving quality of traffic, improving ad copy and improving the landing page.
Traffic Quality - Perhaps you are being on too general a term. You should be focused and specific and “drill down” on your keywords. Learn more on how to do that when you get a free copy of my “Secret Google Tactics”. Improving your traffic quality means getting viewers that are more targeted and, as a result, more warm to your pre-selling or product.
Ad Copy - Constant do split testing within each ad group.
Test the same ad body with different headlines. Remember to set the ad showing to equal rotations instead of it showing only the ad with a higher click through. This is a continual renewal process which will force you to write better copies every time.
Landing page - Do you have your own landing page?
If you are merely directing traffic to a affiliate link there is pretty much nothing you can do here but only to work on traffic quality and ad copy. If you do have your landing page, do constantly track and test the response rate. Try to capture or pre-sell your prospects. You can do this by having an email capture pop-up which is like an auto responder. Offer them something free (free courses, free book, etc…) in exchange for their information. This way, you still have a way of contacting your traffic.

Spyware that interferes with network software causes major problems in the connection of the Internet. In a few instances of spyware infection, the users are unaware about spyware and assume that the PC’s performance, connectivity and stability problems, relate to computer hardware system, or are because of virus and Microsoft Windows installation. Some users of spyware infected system call technical professionals to correct the system, or else, they buy a new computer, as the previous computer works very slow. Scheduling and real-time scanning are the leather seats/steering wheel on this piece of software to prevent new infestations from re-clogging your computer network again and again.
When using your computer it is important to use virus protection, anti-spyware programs and other techniques to keep prying eyes off of your computer. But make sure you do not download or buy any program without checking its authenticity, at least now onwards. Spyware removal software can also be a part of anti-spyware programs. Data loggers, key loggers are just a few programs which harvest info from your computer. Winclear is the only program created specially to auto remove such spywares. Thus the spyware operators get lump sum amount from that legitimate ad websites. That is why every computer owner needs winclear.
Protect With Winclear :Privacy Of Online Auctions
Yes, the seemingly endless onslaught of cyber crime continues, this time via the innocent e-card - that which once was a nice surprise in the Inbox has become a gate to identity theft. Exploit Prevention Labs in Atlanta, GA reported in September that company researchers have discovered a scam in which e-cards are used to install keylogger software on the victim’s computer. The scam, which was executed by an Australian cyber criminal ring and is known as MDAC, involves sending to the user an e-card that appears to originate from a major online greeting card service. When the user clicks on the hyperlink to open the card, the browser is redirected to a exploit server, which checks to see if the computer has been updated with the latest security patches. If it hasn’t, the server installs a rootkit and keylogger, then redirects the computer on to an actual e-card. The user continues working on the computer, likely forgetting about the e-card. But from that point on, all keystrokes are being recorded and accessed by the attackers for use in identity theft. Winclear is the only software which is capable of removing keylogger programs. Additionally browsers use cookies to store login information that you may not want to enter repeatedly. Winclear has been the industry leader in fighting keyloggers for the last 8 years.
Winclear:
Keylogger companies actually guarantee that nobody can detect their software so I knew I must do better than a couple software packages. That is the reason why you need Winclear installed onto your computer. An unexpected attack over which you have no control is a good reason why you should have anti-virus and anti-spyware protection. Protect your computer security by using Winclear! More about Winclear here: Winclear Review.

A new year means a new beginning, and it’s a good time to think over your ideas
and tactics for 2006.
The plans you have for your business in 2006 will depend on where your business is
in the business cycle. You’ll have different tactics if it’s your first year in business, to
someone whose business has matured and who has passed the five-years-in-
business mark.
If your business is new, recognize that more businesses fail in the first year than at
any other time. The failure can be due any number of reasons, including: a lack of
preparation, a lack of understanding, and a lack of financial support.
More often than not, extremely successful people have had many business failures.
If your business fails, it’s not the end of the world. It doesn’t mean that you’ll never
be able to run your own business — it will just take you longer to get there.
Also, if it’s your first year in business, accept that business runs in cycles. You’ll
have busy times, and you’ll have slower times. Sometimes the slow times will be
seasonal, either because it’s summer and people are on vacation, or it’s holiday
time. At other times, business will just be slow! After the first year, you’ll
understand that business moves in cycles, and you’ll put money aside to tide you
over in slow periods.
If you’ve been in business for a number of years, your business faces other dangers
— that of the maturing business. Six years is a danger point. I’ve seen this in many
businesses. They steam ahead brilliantly for five years, and then hit the skids. For
whatever reason, once a business gets to the six year mark, it needs to revamp itself
to stay alive and vital.
So, whether your business is brand new, or whether it’s maturing, what’s NEW for
your business in 2006? Here are some ideas:
=> Set New Goals
When it comes to setting goals, don’t be timid! Set outrageous goals for yourself in
2006, goals which get you enthusiastic and excited.
You’ll sometimes read articles which suggest that you should set realistic goals. Fair
enough. The trouble with realistic goals — like doing ten per cent more business
this year than last year — is that these kinds of goals don’t get you excited. What
you need are BIG, extreme goals which get you enthusiastic.
Set a goal to double or triple your income — why not? After all, you just might
reach the goal!
=> Get New Clients
How many new clients do you want to attract in 2006? Ten? Twenty? A hundred?
Start by working out what processes you’ve used to attract clients in the past. Do
you mainly get new clients through referrals, through advertising, or through cold
calling?
Set a goal to do more of what’s worked in the past. Don’t stop at setting the goal
however, schedule the work in too — block out the necessary time in your day
planner each week.
=> Make New Contacts
The more people who know about you and your business, the more business you
will get. When you own a business, you can’t afford to be a shrinking violet, or you
won’t be in business for long.
You can make new contacts in any number of ways. You can network in your local
area through business groups, join clubs, and join volunteer groups.
You can also network online, by joining various business-oriented groups.
=> Learn New Techniques
This is the time to decide what you need to learn to move your business ahead in
2006. You could take a couple of business courses at your local community college,
or learn CSS or some other technical skill related to the online world.
Don’t feel that your education has to be related to business or to writing —
anything you learn will improve your work in subtle ways. If you’ve always wanted to
take a photography course, or an advanced driving course, go for it!
Make your plans for 2006 now. Remember to review your plans at least once a
month so that you stay on track. All the best for 2006 — you CAN make it your
best year ever.

Answer: Become a low risk investment!
Sounds simple, well it is. First, know who your investors are. If you are looking for a small business loan you are most likely going to approach a bank. A bank will look at you and your business and ask, “is this a good investment for us to loan them money”. Then they look at their criteria of determining risk and make a decision to move forward with approving your loan request or not.
So again, knowing what the bank is looking for is key. Every bank has their unique system for determining a loan approval. In most instances you need a good personal credit score, at least two years in business and a business credit profile. You lower your risk as an investment for the bank the longer you are in business, the higher your personal credit score is and the more positive information you have on your business credit report.
When applying for credit you will find some banks accept a lower personal credit score then others. The banks have a choice of three Credit Bureaus to purchase your credit report from. Each Credit Bureau will have a different formula to determine your credit score, so you actually have three different personal credit scores.
We recently had a client receive a $50,000 unsecured business line of credit after applying on their own at two banks and not receiving an approval. We were able to help this client because her personal credit score with Equifax was a 633, while at Experian she had a 685. The banks she went to bought the Equifax report and we sent her to a bank that purchased her Experian report. Having the knowledge of your credit scores from each bureau will help you decide if you can apply for a business line of credit or not.
