Exploit Prevention Labs in Atlanta, GA reported in September that company researchers have discovered a scam in which e-cards are used to install keylogger software on the victim’s computer. The scam, which was executed by an Australian cyber criminal ring and is known as MDAC, involves sending to the user an e-card that appears to originate from a major online greeting card service. When the user clicks on the hyperlink to open the card, the browser is redirected to a exploit server, which checks to see if the computer has been updated with the latest security patches. If it hasn’t, the server installs a rootkit and keylogger, then redirects the computer on to an actual e-card. The user continues working on the computer, likely forgetting about the e-card. But from that point on, all keystrokes are being recorded and accessed by the attackers for use in identity theft. Winclear is the only software which is capable of removing keylogger programs. Protecting Yourself From Spyware

If you practice diligence and follow some basic rules then you will have a much better chance of preventing the ability of a malware application from infecting your computer. Most computer spyware today is installed without your knowledge when you visit a website or download an application that will place the application on your hard drive. So one way to prevent the installation by not visiting unscrupulous web sites when you surf the web.

There has been a strong increase in the number of computer malware / spyware out on the net the past few years. Many experts in the field expect the number of infections to only increase as time goes along. Spyware are actually programs that are installed on your computer but you usually do not know of the installation and many times you did not even approve the installation. These programs can cause all types of problems for your computing experience, which range from annoying popups to someone actually stealing your personal data and impersonating your identity. You may also experience a reduction in performance of your system, since many times these programs will consume a lot of computing power as the program performs its tasks. Even though the number of computer spyware infections are increasing exponentially does not mean all is lost and you should just throw your hands up and turn off your computer forever.

Since most spyware is installed because of security holes in your browser always ensure you have the latest version of updates for your Operating System and Browser. You can also switch your Web Browser to something like FireFox which is targeted less than the more popular Browsers.

Also ensure you have a spyware protection and remover application installed. This is one of the most important items you can do to protect yourself from these infections and help to minimize the chance that you will be come infected with these types of applications

Axapta - Microsoft Dynamics AX: ERP Integration, Implementation, & Customization Market Gain

Being designed by Navision Software, prior to its acquisition by Microsoft Great Plains Business Solutions, Axapta was first thought as MRP, being in direct competition with such corporate ERP vendors as SAP R/3, Oracle Financials, PeopleSoft, JDEdwards, IBM Lotus. Microsoft, those days was probably not ready to compete on that ground and had to purchase some time, while stepping into mid-size ERP market with Great Plains, Solomon, later on with Navision Attain. Axapta, being really revolutionary product and able to automate higher mid-market and large corporate clients, had several years to mature with narrow client base, mostly in Europe, emerging markets, such as Russia and making first steps in the USA.

• Year 2005. This was the time, when major US VARs decided to invest into Axapta consultants training & certification. At the same time we could see certain signs from Microsoft, when it localized Axapta for challenging emerging regional markets, such as Brazil, where taxation is complicated and unique. In December 2005 Microsoft demoed Axapta in So Paulo office to local partners - mostly specializing in Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Navision implementation.

• Europe. Navision Software has traditionally strong positions in Europe, and this is not a surprise, that we see very good market redistribution signs, giving green light to Axapta sales & implementations. Microsoft partners, traditionally strong in Navision heading into Axapta promotion to their prospects and existing clientele.

• Latin America. Axapta has advantages when we consider corporate clients, especially manufacturing, drilling & mining facilities of multinational corporations and international mid-size companies, Very good interest is seen in Venezuela (oil drilling), Columbia (textile), Bolivia (timber), Chili and Argentina.

• Future directions. When Oracle is in the process of launching its Fusion project, to some extend resembling Microsoft Project Green or Currently Microsoft Dynamics project, SAP R/3 has Mendocino initiative with Microsoft, Microsoft itself has very good chances to open up corporate ERP market with Microsoft Dynamics AX - Axapta

Everyone loves a good bargain. And the best bargain of all is absolutely free. There is nothing better than getting something useful for free. I’ve made it my personal quest to always be on the lookout for these type items. And wouldn’t you know it, I have one to share with you today.

Ever hear of the Garage Band, Cakewalk, or Music Maker? These are the popular programs in recording software. It’s like having your own recording studio all wrapped up and squeezed inside your computer. They do just about everything that you could need to record music and audio. You can be on your way to music producer of the year with just few clicks of a button.

Just like you might have guessed, these programs are not cheap. They run anywhere from $40 to $100. The price varies depending on where you buy it. But no matter where you buy it, the cost is a whole lot more than free. Now don’t get me wrong, these are great software programs and worth the money. But some of us just don’t have the money to spend. Not being able to afford high priced software should not condemn us from its use.

There is a program that is similar in design and usage as these popular programs. It is called Audacity. It costs you absolutely nothing to download and install. You can do virtually everything the other programs do on a small scale. It is great for a beginner getting started and wanting to test out software to see if it’s right for them.

Audacity is a sound recording and editing software that comes with multiple tracks and lots of good effects. You can do all sorts of things to enhance the sound of your recording. With this software, you are basically your own studio. You can do all the things that the pros do like mixing and cutting tracks. You can download Audacity from http://audacity.sourceforge.net. Click on the download tab and choose either Windows or Mac OS 9 to link to download the Audacity 1.2.3 Installer. In a short time you can be on your way to your recording dreams!
